Nagaland Chief Minister visited Kisama Heritage Village

Imphal, November 14 2017:
Chief Minister, TR Zeliang today visited Kisama Heritage Village to oversee arrangements for the upcoming Hornbill Festival (1st -10th December) where a meeting was convened at Kisama Bamboo Hall and issues related to road maintenance, power supply, security, social work, traffic regulations and others were discussed.
The Chief Minister inspected the main Amphitheatre, Tribal Morungs and other structures and called upon the concern Departments and Organisations to expedite preparations for successful conduct of the Festival.

For renovation of roads, concern Departments/Organisations and Contractors have been asked to adopt shift-system of working by deploying adequate number of machinery and work-force both during the day and night during which Police and District Administration would provide security cover during night-shifts including regulation of traffic along NH-29.Departments/Organisations like NHIDCL, PWD (R&B), ECI, Maytas Gayatri, National Highway, BRO etc have been assigned responsibility for road-repair across various parts of Kohima and Dimapur which are to be completed within stipulated deadline while Power Department would look into uninterrupted power supply at Kisama and other important areas at the State Capital like Night Bazaar at Traders road and High School junction, Hotels occupied by State Guests etc.
While renovations of Tribal Morungs are scheduled to be completed by 25th November, District Administration would look into the removal of all unused vehicles parked along NH-29.Mass Social work is scheduled to take place on 25th Nov.
in all Towns starting from Dimapur to Kohima till Kisama Heritage Village.
Approach road leading to Hotel Japfu at Kohima would be a 'No Parking Zone' for local Taxis and alternate parking arrangements would be worked out even as District Administration and Police would be identifying suitable location/s for parking towed-away vehicles which violates traffic regulations during the festival period.

7.N.Biren Singh, Chief Minister of Manipur
8.Sarbananda Sonowal, Chief Minister of Assam
9.Justice Ranjan Gogoi, Judge of Supreme Court
10.Smriti Irani, Union Minister for Textiles, Information & Broadcasting
11.Mahesh Sharma, Minister of State for Culture.
Till the time of releasing this statement, four VIPs namely Ram Nath Kovind, President of India; Nirmala Sitharaman, Union Defence Minister; Justice Ranjan Gogoi, Judge of Supreme Court and Smriti Irani, Union Minister for Textiles, Information & Broadcasting have confirmed their participation.
