NSCN-K Zeliangrong region merges with NSCN (R); More teeth to Reformation group

Imphal, June 01 2015 : NSCN-K Zeliangrong Region has merged with the NSCN Reformation, said KD Gangmei, former information and publicity secretary of NSCN-K Zeliangrong region.

Interacting with media persons somewhere in Tamenglong district today evening, KD Gangmei said that the top leaders and cadres of Zeliangrong region decided to merge with NSCN-Reformation after a joint meeting between the two groups was held some days back.

He also said that the erstwhile NSCN-K Zeliangrong region decided to merge with the Reformation group as they subscribe to the ideology of the latter.

The ideology of the Reformation group is to work for social reformation and look after the social issues of the people.

It is also oriented towards bringing peace in the Zeliangrong region as the outfit holds a firm belief that no solution can be brought without peace or peaceful atmosphere.

He also said that they have no ill-feelings against any underground groups operation in the region.

Reformation is for the people, by the people and of the people, KD Gangmei asserted.

He also said that their merger with the Reformation group was done with the support of the people and as per their wish and desire.

Gangmei further said the they will continue to work for the welfare of the people like they did before.

Reformation will not carry out any kind of attack or killing or harassment of anyone.

He also said that TR Aron is the present information secretary of NSCN Reformation, Zeliangrong region.
