Imphal, June 23 2017: A statement of the Maoist Communist Party Manipur (MCPM) said that one Sorokhaibam Somokanta of Charangpat Village in Thoubal district, arrested by the Manipur police is in no way related with the outfit.

It said that the said person is a disabled person with deformed legs and arrest of such persons with false allegation is a violation of Rights of the person with Disability Act, 2016 (RPD �Act 2016) .

The outfit appeals the Human Rights organisations and Disabled organisation to urge the concern authority for protection of the rights of the persons with disabilities.
