Khole appointed NSCN-IM's Vice-Chairman

Consequent upon the approval of the nomination of Gen (Retd) Khole Konyak as the vice-chairman of the National Socialist Council of Nagalim (NSCN-IM), by the "national hoho" on May 17, Gen (Retd) Khole Konyak was sworn in as the Vice-Chairman of the National Socialist Council of Nagalim (NSCN-IM) at 4 pm today.
The ceremony was conducted by Rev A Puni, member of the collective leadership and the swearing in was administered by Qhevihe Chishi Swu, convener Steering Committee and the blessing prayer was pronounced by Rev Shekshim Kasar, general secretary, Council of Nagalim Churches.
A brief introductory welcome speech was given by the general secretary NSCN, Th Muivah who declared that Gen (Retd) Khole was one of the glories of Naga history and to lead the Naga nation he has been honoured with the post of vice-chairman.
The general secretary also highly appreciated General (Retd) Khole Konyak for taking the right decision and joining force for the righteous cause.
Gen (Retd) Khole Konyak, vice-chairman NSCN in a brief speech expressed words of gratitude for the honour that has been given to him.
He stated that his dream was to follow and never for high post.
He told the members present to lead the way and that he would be fully behind them.
Other senior members of the organization including Gen (Retd) VS Atem, Tongmet Wangnao, KP Hurray, Lincoln and Pasheto Chishi Swu were also present in the ceremony.
