AMNEMEA assists retired machine-man

Imphal, September 14 2022:
All Manipur Newspaper and Electronic Media Employees' Association (AMNEMEA) has extended financial assistance to its founder president and head machine operator of Imphal Free Press Thokchom Ngouthoi (60) of Phaknung Awang Leikai upon his retirement from his job on Wednesday.
Ngouthoi had worked as machine-man in different media houses for over 40 years before he retired as head machine operator of Imphal Free Press daily.
AMNEMEA president Khunjamayum Amuchou, secretary Laishram Ambary, joint secretary Gogo Meitram and other members visited Ngouthoi at his house and handed over the cash assistance to him.
Interacting with the me dia, AMNEMEA secretary Laishram Ambary said that Ngouthoi is the second member of AMNEMEA to get the retirement assistance instituted by the association to assist its retired members for a smooth transition to their retirement.
He also wished good health and prosperity to the retired machine operator.
Thanking the association for the assistance, Ngouthoi said that the initiative is a kind gesture, which every individual would appreciate and prayed that the initiative continues forever.
He also drew attention of the state government for taking up some initiatives for the welfare of machine operators and technical staffers of media houses.
