Exam toppers of Monsang tribe feted

Sirti Thiimjiitam Sourkhe (Monsang Naga Students' Union) on Saturday felicitated the toppers of High School Leaving Certificate Examination, Higher Secondary Examination, graduate examinations of this year and other extraordinary people from Monsang tribe, during a function held at Monsang Pantha Village Community Hall, Chandel District.
The students/people feted include 7th position holder in HSE 2022 (Arts Stream), Olinda Tesong Monsang (Enlighten Knowledge Higher Secondary School, Sangakpham) of Liwachangning village; 19th position holder in BA Anthropology (Honours) Examination 2019-2022 of North Eastern Hill University (NEHU) Shillong; Rumeen Ngoruh (Women's College Shillong) of Liwa Changning village; Liwa Changning High School student Kephatin Thesong Monsang of Heibunglok Village, who secured the highest marks among Monsang students in HSLCE-2022; St Peter's Higher Secondary school, Monsang Pantha student Ts Christine Monsang of Liwa Khullen village, who secured the highest marks among Monsang students in science stream of HSE 2022; and St Paul Higher Secondary School, Dimapur student Anna Ts Monsang of Monsang Pantha village, who secured the highest marks among Monsang students in arts stream of Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate Examination 2021 conducted by Nagaland Board of Secondary Education (NBSE) As part of the function, St Peters Parish Monsang Panthagi parish priest Rev.Michael Kochuparambil offered prayers to the almighty to encourage the recipients.
Meanwhile, other prominent personalities from Monsang community such as Kiirii Aniljoy and Shongsir Joy Monsang who were awarded Doctor of Philosophy; Young Scientist Award recipient Neeta Pathaw; Outstanding Scientist Award recipient Dr Shongsir Warson; Athouba Pebam Chittaranjan Memorial State Level Photography Competition 2021 2nd position winner Thumlity Happyson Monsang, and Rashingam Ngoruh, who won third place in the Cycling Competition organised by Audax India Randonneurs (AIR) were also feted.
