Imphal, April 29 2015 : National Sports University Construction Demand Committee (NSUCDC), Manipur has submitted memorandums to Chief Minister of Manipur, BJP President and Union Sports Minister appealing to construct National Sports University at a controversy-free site.

Giving a summary of the memorandum submitted in a press release issued by NSUCDC Secretary, M Sunil Meitei, said that due to State Government egocentric gesture regarding 44- Yaithibi Loukon the university has not come up.

NSUCDC states that the State Government will be responsible if the central government decision of constructing the university in the State is cancelled.

NSUCDC has also appealed for reallocation of a new site free from controversy and which will not hamper existence of any church, temples, mosque and schools.
