Health of elderly post-Covid patients examined

Thoubal, November 15 2021: District Hospital, Thoubal staff nurse Kh Anita in coordination with COVID-19 Isolation Team District Hospital, Thoubal organised a one-day health check-up camp for post COVID-19 patients aged above 60 years at MOPD of District Hospital, Thoubal on Monday.

During the camp, the elderly-post COVID-19 patients were given facility for X-ray, blood, urine and other tests apart from imparting them knowledge about different exercises to keep them fit and healthy.

CMO Thoubal Y Nokul and District Hospital's Dr E Sandipkumar (emergency medicine) also attended the camp and presented blankets donated by Kh Anita to the elderly patients.

Regarding the camp, Kh Anita said she came across health issues faced by elderly COVID-19 patients while working as supervisor in COVID-19 Isolation Team District Hospital and the camp was held for the convenience of elderly patients while understanding problems they could have faced in their respective homes.

The camp was held with the approval of medical superintendent and CMO Thoubal, she said, adding that the tests conducted on Monday will be repeated next week as follow up action.
