Senapati, March 08 2018: The first ever Secretariat Complex of All Naga Student Association Manipur (ANSAM) will be inaugurated on March 13 at New Eden, Katomei village, Senapati.

According to ANSAM, since its inception it has been working without a permanent office building, hindering its functioning in the absence of basic logistic.

"ANSAM, therefore, embarked upon a project to mend this gap and a plot of land at New Eden, Katomei village was procured in 2005," according to the Naga student body.

Despite manifold difficulties, the effort to put in place an of?ce building was kept alive over the tenures of the organization, it stated.

In 2015, the construction plans were finally taken off.

The construction of the Secretariat Complex that includes a conference hall and a resource centre has now been completed.

The Secretariat Complex is built around the philosophy of a traditional Naga Morung where collective learning and sharing is practiced.

The complex will serve as a place for churning of minds and people particularly of the youths, according to ANSAM.The complex will also be a hearth for story sharing to help build and empower our future, said the Naga student body.

ANSAM will also host a ceremony to give the Maj.

Shimreingam Shaiza Memorial Award (MSSMA) .
