NSCN-IM calls Kitovi pseudo-Naga nationalist
Source: Chronicle News Service

Imphal, February 22 2022: NSCN-IM has cast aspersions on NNPGs convener N Kitovi Zhimomi with regard to his position on Naga political issue, saying that he is toying with the rejected 16-Point Agreement as indoctrinated by former interlocutor RN Ravi and SC Jamir.

In a statement, NSCN-IM said that it is aware of the presence of N Kitovi in Delhi, where he interacted with a select media.

He was desperately trying to propel his image as a bona fide Naga revolutionary to qualify himself as a Naga nationalist.

Unfortunately, he is nowhere near to enjoy that revolutionary status.

His actual size in the Naga political struggle is simply a pseudo-Naga nationalist, who only champions the political interests of the Government of India (GoI) and works on her (Gol) behalf throughout.

"This is still visibly seen even under the scheme of things brought about by the ongoing Indo-Naga political talks.

We are also aware of the article issued by Dr SC Jamir where he stated that there is no mention of sovereignty and integration in Framework Agreement of the 3rd August, 2015" .

It then recalled, "After he joined NSCN in 1987, the 1988 crisis took place.

He sided with the expelled Khaplang who formed a separate group.

With the common elements of treachery he was given important assignments in the group and saw his rise in the hierarchy of officers.

Bereft of any revolutionary trait as demanded by the call of the Naga political struggle he was never found fighting for the righteous cause of the Naga political issue.

By 1992, he was finding comfort in taking shelter in the camps of the Indian Army as arranged by his mentor Dr SC Jamir and find pleasure in doing the bidding of the Indian Army to track down the cadres of Naga revolutionary group NSCN led by Isak Chishi Swu and Th Muivah" .

"Thus, nothing is far from truth as far as the deceptive role of Kitovi is concerned.

It does not take much time for him to start his criminal bonhomie with Dr SC Jamir as he took over as the security commander of SC Jamir with the sole purpose of going headlong to eliminate the NSCN after entering into unholy collusion with the Indian Army.

He had his days as he executed his devilish plan by killing many innocent Nagas.

But the revolutionary movement refused to be cowed down in the hands of traitors like him and their accomplice, the Indian Army," the NSCN alleged.

It continued, Kitovi as the convener of the NNPGs is in fact fighting with the Nagas on behalf of the Government of India to accept Indian constitution and surrender.

The NNPGs Agreed Position is a mere re - edited version of the 16-Point Agreement which was condemned and rejected by the Naga people.

Till now, Kitovi wasted no effort to defend the 16 Point Agreement where there is no place for the Nagas hying outside the modern state of Nagaland".

NSCN then said, "To forgive each other is also a revolutionary character.

It is, however, difficult to forget when NSCN-K to which Kitovi belonged was allowed to be used as mercenary forces by SC Jamir to eliminate the freedom fighters spearheaded by NSCN.

What a treacherous manner of betraying the Naga people which the Naga history would never forget.

Kitovi Zhimomi and Dally Mungro stoop themselves so low to be at the beck and call of SC Jamir all the time like his private army".

It went on, "Is this the revolutionary trait that Kitovi is talking about to the select national media in Delhi? There is an indelible record when Jamir was provided by the centre (Gol) Rs 103 crore for Peace Offensive Operation against NSCN.

For the same purpose,- NSCN-K was provided 100 AK-47S.These AK-47s were actually meant for the modernization of the Nagaland state police force.

But it was hired by NSCN-K for free to be used in the killing of NSCN members or any Tangkhuls by offering incentive, irrespective of whether he is a freedom fighter or public.

Kitovi Zhimomi, as the security commander of SC Jamir, oversaw all these operations against the bona fide Naga freedom fighters" .

"...

What has been rejected (l6 - Point Agreement) by the Naga people years ago cannot be brought back to live to build peace with India,..The Naga people have been fighting through political dialogue to establish a lasting peace with India.

But peace is not something which would come by suppressing the political identity of the Nagas," NSCN asserted.

"The Naga history is replete with episodes of the most treacherous and stirring characters inspired by the Indian intelligence agency.

Here SC Jamir stands out as one of the architects of the Naga People's Convention (NPC) and the 16-Point Agreement which followed.

Today we found Kitovi, a protege of SC Jamir, not knowing how to handle the Naga political issue is toying with the rejected 16 Point Agreement as indoctrinated by the former Interlocutor RN Ravi and SC Jamir," it said.

NSCN further said, "SC Jamir in his recent article exposed his dogmatic political mentality as he feigned ignorance of the political meaning of the Framework Agreement of the 3rd August, 2015 to find ground for defending 16-Point Agreement which is his brainchild.

He cannot close his eyes while reading the Framework Agreement where it is clearly stated "sharing the sovereign power" and further it mentioned "enduring inclusive new relationship of peaceful co-existence of the two entities.

"Needless to say, integration is an integral part of the Framework Agreement.

What is sovereignty when there is no integration? What is sovereignty when other Nagas outside Nagaland state are left out?," it asked.

"NSCN's version of being revolutionary is characterized by a strong belief of the God's given political identity as a Naga nation as we are Naga national patriots fighting for the liberation of our motherland under military occupation of India.'The courage and persistence to defend this infallible definition of Naga's liberation struggle is all about the Naga revolutionary movement spearheaded by NSCN," the statement concluded.
