Free heart and echo screening camp held at district hospital Ukhrul

Ukhrul, September 27 2019: Manipur Heart Foundation (MHF) in association with SKY Hospital & Research Centre Pvt Ltd conducted a one day free heart and echo screening camp at district hospital Ukhrul on September 26 .

A press release issued by coordinator, Manipur Heart Foundation stated that free heart OPD, free echocardiography, free ECG and free diabetes detection tests were provided during the camp, to a total number of 120 patients including children below 18 years of age.

During the camp, 8 children below 18 years were detected to have Congenital Heart Disease (CHD) and another 6 above 18 years of age were found to have abnormal echo study findings for which further assessment at SKY hospital was advised for free, it added.

Dr L Shyamkishore, president of Manipur Heart Foundation asserted that the foundation would continue to provide free heart camps at different places of the State while appealing to the people to take the opportunity of such services which are brought to their doorsteps.
