2 held for unloading K-oil at wrong place

Imphal, October 05 2015: Two persons have been arrested today by the police for illegally unloading 20 Kilolitres of SK oil at one of the petrol pumps located at Imphal today which was formally allotted to ZV Nepolian Oil Agency Ukhrul on September 30 .

According to a reliable source, 20 Kls of SK Oil were officially allotted to the ZV Nepolian Oil Agency for distribution to the general public of Ukhrul and the said SK oil was unloaded from an oil tanker.

Even though the SK Oil allocation was made on September 30, the allotted quantity of SK Oil did not reach ZV Nepolian Oil Agency following which a complaint was lodged at Heingang police station to take up necessary action.

After the complaint was filed, a combined team of Heingang police and Imphal West police arrested two persons while they were unloading the SK oil at one petrol pump located in Imphal.

The two arrested persons have been identified as Phurailatpam Jotin Sharma (47) s/o (L) Ph Yaima Sharma of Uripok Huidrom Leikai and Chinglen Thapa (33) s/o (L) Tejbahadur Thapa of Thangmeiband Kabrabam Leikai.

Sources also mentioned that both of them were arrested from the spot.

Moreover the oil tanker has also been seized.
