Imphal, March 08 2018: NSCN-IM has clarified that it has nothing to do with the encounter which took place between troops of 13th Sikh Light Infantry and unknown militants in Tamenglong district on March 5 .

While refuting the allegations levelled against the NSCN without properly ascertaining the facts, a press release issued by the outfit's MIP said that such inflammatory charge by the 13 th Sikh Light Infantry is highly immature and questionable as it came at a time when the Nagas and GoI are very close to finding a solution.

It further asked the militant group responsible for the attack on the 13th Sikh Light Infantry to claim ownership of their act.
