32 new active cases detected

Imphal, August 03 2022:
A total of 32 Covid 19 positive cases, out of 675 samples tested, were detected in the state on Wednesday with positivity rate of 4.7 per cent.
With the recovery of 57 people, the number of active cases in the state now stands at 431, out of which 428 are from general population and three personnel of Central security forces.
Out of 32 new cases (13 male & 19 female), 11 are from Imphal West, 5 from Thoubal, 4 from Imphal East, 3 each from Bishnupur and Ukhrul, 2 each from Kakching and Senapati and 1 each from Noney and Chandel districts.
On Wednesday 57 patients were discharged from home isolation (45), RIMS (6) SHRI (4), Tamenglong (1) and Chandel (1) .
In all, 21 Covid beds out of 38 in JNIMS are vacant and 40 out of 62 Covid beds remain vacant in RIMS.
So far, the state has recorded 1968 positive cases and 11 deaths since the beginning of the fourth wave of the pandemic.
The current month has reported 139 new positive and two death cases.
As on Tuesday, 134 D-type and 6 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities and 3,931 vaccine doses administered taking the cumulative number of vaccinated population to 31,13,685, out of which, 16,16,346 had taken the first dose, 12,88,391 second dose and 2,08,948 had taken precautionary doses.
