Man feeds monkeys amid lockdwon

Imphal, August 08 2020: One Shivkumar from Oinam is on a mission to protect stray animals during this coronavirus induced lockdown as he feeds monkeys taking shelter at the campus of CI College, Bishnupur, every day.

Speaking to media persons, one woman who resides near the college said that Shivkumar has been feeding food grains, fruits and vegetables to these monkeys from the very first day of the lockdown that was imposed in late March.

She also said the monkeys are staying healthy even today, where lockdown has forced the public to stay indoors, due to this particular man.

The monkeys know Shivkumar very well now and they will jump in joy whenever he shows up, the woman stated and applauded Shivkumar for his humanitarian service to the furry friends.
