AR provides assistance to Mission Blind School

Imphal, August 08 2020: The Chandel Battalion of 26 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) provided necessary assistance to the children of The Mission Blind School at Heikakpokpi village, Kakching District today, said IGAR (S) .

The school was running short of supplies and approached the Chandel Battalion for provisioning their needs.

The battalion provided necessary supplies which included essential ration items and 50 fruit-bearing saplings for plantation in and around the school.

The Students were also briefed on various precautionary measures like maintaining basic hygiene, sanitation, social distancing and other precautions to avoid the spread of coronavirus disease and simultaneously students were sensitized about the growing environmental conditions and suggested ways to protect the environment by means of tree plantation.

The school authorities expressed their gratitude to AR for the assistance and spreading awareness amongst the students.
