Imphal, August 31 2018:
Manipur Muslim Welfare Organization (MMWO) has urged the State Government to conduct the enquiry, which was initiated on the different schemes taken up by MOBC Department during 2010 to 2017 by the SIT formed in connection with the matter, in a fair and expeditious manner.
It also asked the Government to make the Department of Minorities and Department of OBC full-fledged by maintaining proper staff strength.
Addressing a press meet held at MMWO office, Hatta today, its secretary general Md Amimuddin informed that the State Government formed a SIT and initiated an enquiry into the different schemes taken up during 2010 to 2017 by the MOBC Department, a few months back.
He went on to state that the enquiry seems to have been carried out in a loose manner just for namesake.
Alleging that certain administrative works in the Department have been carried out secretly, Amimuddin pointed out that Kh Dineshchandra, who is an accused in the alleged wrongdoings which occurred in the Department from 2010 to 2017, is returning to the same Department as the Member Secretary after he was transferred to another Department for a few months.
On the other hand, the officers holding the post of Administrative Secretaries have always been changed for the last few months, he continued adding that frequent change of the key-post holders in the Department during the enquiry will affect the enquiry process.
Stating that the Administrative Secretary of MOBC W Bobby has been transferred to another Department recently, the general secretary demanded the Government to revoke the transfer order asserting the officer discharged his duties well and the Department requires sincere officers like him.
Amimuddin also urged the Government to speed up the enquiry process.
