Many continue to extend humanitarian aid

As part of Phase-2 Relief Materials Distribution Programme, a team of The Meitram Foundation (TMF) visited the Youth Golden Club, Wakhong, Pukhao, Imphal East on September 7 and provided relief materials.
In a release, TMF informed that the team handed over necessary items such as plastic mats, raincoats, torches, etc to the villagers to help in guarding their villages.
On behalf of the villagers, Heikrujam Bangkim, secretary YGC Wakhong, received the materials and wholeheartedly appreciated TMF for responding to their request.
Pointing out that this time all the Manipuris are united in their stand for a United Manipur, he said, "This difficult situation has brought out the humane side in all Manipuris coming forward to help in any possible way in the fight for our motherland" .
He expressed hope that the conflict will be sorted out at the earliest and added that prolonging it will only make the lives of the public worse.
M Udoi Luwang, chairman TMF, assured that the foundation will help and support the people of the State till normalcy and peace is restored.
TMF has appealed to all the CSOs, State Government, Central Government and the public to expedite the process of restoring peace & normalcy in the State.
Moreover, members of Ema Thambal Lairenbi Apunba Nupi Lup yesterday visited the office of Lamlai Kendra Village Volunteer Force office in Sabungkhok and provided 6 bags of rice.
Speaking to the media, Ema Thambal Lairenbi Apunba Nupi Lup secretary Ngairangbam Bidiyarani shared that since the conflict broke out on May 3 last, Kuki narco terrorists have continued to attack innocent civilians causing many casualties.
She shared that the assistance was provided to support and encourage the Lamlai Kendra Village Volunteer Force who are fighting in the frontline to protect the motherland.
The women folk of Ema Thambal Lairenbi Apunba Lup also prayed to God for the safety of the brave youths.
Ema Thambal Lairenbi Apunba Nupi Lup also handed over 2 bags of rice and monetary aid of Rs 10,000 to help the medical treatment of Mangsatabam Sanathoi.
Besides, a five-member team of Wakhallon Mannaba Apunba (WAMA), Kangleipak led by its president Moirangthem Naokhomba Meetei yesterday provided relief materials to the village volunteers camping in Kakching district.
In a release, WAMA appealed to the State Government to abrogate SoO with Kuki militants, implement NRC in Manipur and deport all the illegal immigrants.
WAMA also urged the Government to take immediate action to end the conflict and restore peace in the State.
