Somi Awungshi to contest election on BJP ticket

Ukhrul, October 25 2016: Politician turned social activist Somi Awungshi said he would contest on BJP ticket in the forthcoming State Assembly election, 2017 .

Somi Awungshi in an exclusive interaction with this correspondent said he would prioritize and give attention to rural development if elected to power.

He said the BJP, under the able leadership of Prime minister Narendra Modi is moving the country forward.

He said the NDA Government is ready to pump in maximum funds for all round development of the State but it is impossible with the congress led SPF Government ruling the State.

"Let BJP form Government in the State and experience the changes", Awungshi said.
