Imphal, September 08 2023:
Lamlai Kendra United Club Peace & Development Committee has appealed to all the Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) to unite and lead the public agitation in one direction to save Manipur.
Addressing a press conference today at Nongada, Sanjoy Mangsatabam, secretary of the Committee, since the conflict began on May 3 last, Kuki narco-terrorists have continued to attack innocent civilians and burnt down villages belonging to the Meitei community.
He shared that many brave heroes have also made the supreme sacrifice to protect the motherland over the past 4 months.
He continued that during this crucial juncture, mushrooming of organisations and placing their own version of agenda has further confused the civilians.
"Unity among the CSOs is indispensable to save Manipur as both the Centre and the Manipur Government have failed to douse the flame and restore peace & normalcy", said Sanjoy while appealing to all the CSOs to unite and work together to protect Manipur.
He also urged all the political parties to set aside their differences and stand together across the political divide to protect the territorial integrity of Manipur and restore peace.
Lamlai Kendra United Club Peace & Development Committee president Ng Joy, vice president A Munal, Kh Sanjoy, M Sanjoy, Ph Sobachandra and M Arunkumar were also present at the press conference.
