LMG extends monetary aid to kidney patient

Publicity Secretary of Like Minded Group (LMG), Rakesh Naorem has appealed to the State Government to formulate a health scheme for cancer, heart and kidney patients to alleviate their difficulties.
He made the above appeal while speaking on the sidelines of extending monetary aid of Rs 12,000 to Clinton Waikhom, a class VIII student who is undergoing treatment at Raj Medicity due to kidney failure, said a press release by LMG.
It is worth mentioning that LMG has extended help to a number of poor and needy people in the past as a part of its continued philanthropic activities.
A team of Like Minded Group led by its advisory board member, Ashem Kennedy accompanied by the members visited Clinton and extended the monetary aid today to provide some relief during this difficult time.
Rakesh Naorem while emphasising that parents of Clinton Waikhom, Waikhom Joychandra and Waikhom ongbi Sangeeta are daily wage labourers and are facing extreme difficulties to make ends meet which has been worsened by Clinton's condition.
Therefore, acknowledging their difficult situation, Like Minded Group (LMG) extended the aid from the Group's funds and contributions made by some of its members, he added.
