Ima Memchoubi condoled widely

Peace and Integrity Committee Kyamgei (PICK) and All Kyamgei Nupi Chaokhat Thourang Lup have condoled the passing of prominent woman activist Longjam Memchoubi in a ceremony held at Kyamgei Mayai Leikai community hall today.
The gathering paid a floral tribute on the portrait of the late president of Poirei Leimarol Meira Paibee Apunba Manipur (PLMPAM) and observed a 2-minute silence in a mark of respect.
Condoling her demise, the All Kyamgei Nupi Chaokhat Thourang Lup acknowledged the contribution of Longjam memchoubi in various aspects of social life and urged mothers of Manipur to follow in the footsteps of the exemplary woman leader.
Meanwhile, Ch Meghachandra, convenor, PICK attributed PICK's ability to travel to the nook and corners of the State to carry out their organizational activities to the late activist.
Many organisations also continue to offer their deepest condolences upon the sudden passing of the eminent leader.
Youths Foundation for Fitness and Service (YOFFS), Manipur and Women Action for Development (WAD) noted the late activist's contribution in terms of curbing the use of intoxicants, uplifting women and other social issues and expressed grief upon her passing.
Meanwhile, according to a statement issued by Iramdam kanba Apunba Lup (IKAL), representatives of IKAL, LKKL, LIPUL, PUYA and ISAK organised a condolence meet at the head office of IKAL at Uripok Khoisnam Leikai and observed a 2-minute to mourn the passing of Longjam Memchoubi.
Similar 2-minute silence were observed by the National Research Centre (NRC), Canchipur, All Manipur Students Guardians' Organisation and Joint Action Co-Ordination Committee (JACC) today.
Lastly the Nambol Area Meira Paibi Apunba Lup, Takhel Union Club, Nupee Khunai Meira Maibi and All Manipur Women's Voluntary Association (AMAWOVA) have extended deepest condolences upon the passing of Longjam Memchoubi and shared in the grief of the bereaved family, friends and well-wishers of the activist.
