Foundation Day celebrated

The Pakan Revolutionary Army (PRA) celebrated its 9th Foundation Day today at Chehlep village under Tengnoupal subdivision of Chandel district.
Hermon Camp unit-III was also inaugurated on the occasion.
The programme was attended by C-in-C of PRA, S Milan, C-in-C of United Minority Liberation Army (UMLA), K Kopham, ADC of KNA Amul Mate, CO of Hermon Camp, Hegen Haokip, chief adviser of PRA W Molun, chiefs of surrounding villages, Church leaders and the public.
PRA came into existence in 2006.The outfit was based in CCpur district till last year before the outfit moved their base this year and started constructing a designated camp at Chehlep village.
There are currently three units at Hermon Camp.
Unit-I comprises of the KNA while unit-II comprises of UMLA cadres and the 3rd unit being inaugurated today is the designated camp of PRA.
C-in-C of PRA, S Milan while speaking at the occasion said PRA is a constituent unit of KNO, which is a party to the tripartite SoO pact.
Pledging that the outfit will abide by the ground rules of the SoO agreement, Milan said that the PRA will strive to promote peace in its area.
He also said that the outfit would support and be a part of any movement spearheaded by the KNO for the realisation of Zalengam.
Pointing out that power, fencing and water facilities are lacking in the designated camp inaugurated today, Milan said that cadres of the outfit have not received stipend this year.
