DC Bpr chairs review meeting, flags distributed at Kpi

Deputy Commissioner Bishnupur, Lourembam Bikram today chaired a meeting to review the preparedness for "Har Ghar Tiranga (HGT) campaign under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav" which will be held from August 13 to 15.Addressing the meeting, L Bikram stated that the flags for Har Ghar Tiranga campaign received by the District Administration will be distributed to every household in the district.
He also urged all the attendees to provide their cooperation and support to make the campaign a grand success.
The DC continued that the Flag Code of India 2002 had also been amended vide Order dated July 19, 2022.Later the DC handed over the National flags to the officials concerned for further distribution to the households, offices and local clubs in the district.
L Bikram further appealed to the people of Bishnupur District to join the campaign by participating in the "Selfie with the flag" on social media platforms and changing DP to Indian flag on social media handles.
Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Panchayat, SDOs, BDOs, Pradhans, Chairpersons of Municipal Councils, District Level Officers and college Principals took part in the meeting.
KANGPOKPI
District Administration Kangpokpi today distributed the National Flags for HGT campaign to various departments in the district at the Deputy Commissioner's Office Complex in Kangpokpi Headquarters.
A total of 19,314 National Flags were received from the General Administrative Department (GAD) yesterday.
Following the guidelines, various departments collected 7,936 National Flags till the office hours today.
The flags will be hoisted at various institutions including offices, schools and households in the district during the HGT campaign.
