As part of his visit to the North Eastern States, Director General Ordnance Services (DGOS) Lt Gen BS Sisodia, AVSM, VSM who arrived here today was briefed on the ongoing operations in the State at Leimakhong, said a statement issued by the PIB (Defence Wing).
The General also visited the Kanglatongbi War Memorial along NH-39 at Kanglatongbi and paid homage to the valiant soldiers of 221 Ordnance Depot who had put up a heroic resistance against the invading Japanese Army in April 1944.The DGOS considered it a privilege to such a historic site.
The DOGS also had a brief interaction with children at Kanglatongbi Orphanage, said PIB (Defence Wing) in a statement today.
