RPF condoles Ningthoukhongjam Khelchandra

The proscribed RPF has condoled the demise of Ningthoukhongjam Khelchandra, who was deservedly conferred the title of pandit (Maichou).
He was one individual who made significant contributions in diverse fields.
His contribution in the field of literature, culture and art is immense, the outfit remarked in a release issued by its Publicity Secretary T Leisemba.
He produced as many as 30 books during his lifetime which are of great use to the people of Manipur.
Some of his prominent books include Cheitharol Kumbaba, History of Manipur Literature, Manipuri to Manipuri and English Dictionary, Battle of Khongjom War, Documents of Anglo Manipuri War 1891 and Thangal General Amadi Kangla".
Besides his contribution in the fields of literature, culture and art, Khelchandra was also an archivist who had a habit of collecting and preserving all important documents and old records.
His demise has left a big void in the fields of Manipuri literature, culture and art which would be hard to fill up.
RPF also conveyed solidarity to bereaved family, relatives and friends of the departed soul.
