JHM to contribute to tsunami relief

As a goodwill gesture to tsunami and earthquake victims of Japan, the staff of Japanese Hospital Manipur will contribute the amount of one month's salary to the relief fund of the worst ever natural calamity.
A seven-member team of World War-II Victims Memorial Hospital Trust Manipur will leave for New Delhi to handover the amount to the Japanese Ambassador to India tomorrow.
Speaking at a press conference held at his office chamber, Trust President TM Rajen Ayangba said that the team would also discuss with the Ambassador regarding the Japanese Hospital project to be taken up in the State.
TM Rajen Ayangba expressed hope that construction of the hospital will commence soon as the Japanese Home Ministry has recently issued the Foreign Registration Certificate (TRC).
He said, "We will discuss on the project proposal so that the construction of the 1500-bedded hospital starts soon" .
TM Rajen Ayangba added that a 15-member State delegation would also fly to Japan within few months to take first hand account of administration and technicalities of running hospital in the country.
Informing that the hospital will have more than 28 departments TM Rajen said that the hospital which would be equipped with modern equipments would also run training courses.
The team which will leave for the National capital comprises of Trust President TM Rajen Ayangba, Secretary M Ibomcha, Joint Secretary L Sanjit Meitei, General Manager RK Priyoshakhi, Advisor Sh Rajmani Sharma and Legal Advisor Kh Iboyaima.
