Mass vaccination drive held at Kakching Mayai Leikai

Kakching, April 28 2021:
A mass COVID-19 vaccination drive was organised under the supervision of District Health Society, Kakching at Multipurpose Community Hall in Kakching Mayai Leikai today.
The drive conducted in collaboration with JNGVO, AKSU & KKCL vaccinated a total of 564 persons today.
Speaking of the occasion, Dr T Manihar, CMO, Kakching stated that 10 Vaccination Centres have been opened for Kakching district with the number of people coming to receive the coronavirus vaccine increasing as the fears and doubts over the vaccine being slowly cleared through the awareness programmes.
The mass vaccination drive was organised to facilitate the people who have been coming in large numbers to get the vaccine, he added.

Dr T Manihar mentioned that all necessary precautions have been taken in organising the drive and urged the people to get vaccinated at the earliest.
Mayanglambam Rameshwor, MLA Kakching Assembly Constituency stressed on the importance of getting the COVID-19 vaccine and following all the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) like wearing face masks, washing hands, etc.
He extended his appreciation to the Kakching District DC and CMO for their efforts in organising the mass vaccination drive and urged to conduct similar programmes at other places to help protect the people from the pandemic.
The programme was attended by M Rameshwor, MLA Kakching AC along with Kengoo Zuringla, DC Kakching; Victoria Yengkhom, SP Kakching and Dr Haobam Surjitkumar, District Family Welfare Officer, Kakching & District Immunization Officer.
