Notably, Dr Radheshyam secured 6489 votes in the 10th Manipur Legislative Assembly election and occupied the
third position.
Shyamkumar said that the party has already launched election campaign so as to ensure that the party garners the Hiyanglam seat.
MPTCC legislature wing leader Dr I Ibohalbi said that the party high command made a good choice by selecting Dr Radheshyam.
He also exuded confidence that Radheshyam would win the by-election.
He also appealed to the electorates of Hiyanglam A/C to send Dr Radheshyam to the Manipur Legislative Assembly so that development deficits of the constituency can be made up rapidly.
Dr Radheshyam conveyed his gratitude to the party high command as well as the MPTCC leaders for reposing their faith unto him and allotting the party ticket to him for the by-election.
On the other hand, MPTC spokesman Thokchom Inaocha has announced that the party would contest the by-poll.
Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club this evening, Inaocha said that MPTC would announce the name of its candidate in the next couple of days.
He maintained that Dr Radheshyam fielded by MLA Th Shyamkumar has nothing to do with the MPTC.
The party headed by Shyamkumar would not be allowed to use MPTC's grass and flower symbol as their election symbol.
Dismissing MPTCC general secretary P Premananda's claim of having obtained Mamata Banerjee's permission as a blatant lie, Inaocha said that due procedures have been initiated to take up legal action against Premananda.
