48 hrs deadline from JAC against killing of Master Roberoy

A public meeting held at Ningthoukhong Bazar today in connection with the gruesome killing of Master Thiyam Roberoy of Ningthoukhong Kha-Khunou has given 48 hours deadline to the Government to produce the killers.
4-year old Master Roberoy was found hung after being brutally murdered inside the priestess' room of Ibudhou Thangnarel temple ion the afternoon of May 18 .
Organised under the aegis of the JAC formed in protest over the killing, the public meeting resolved that the countdown to the deadline will begin from 5 am tomorrow.
In case of the Government fails to produce the killers within the said deadline, the public meeting resolved that the JAC, other civil organisations and the public would join hands to launch intense agitation and the Government should be held responsible for any eventuality in this regard.
The meeting also resolved that the JAC would be expanded and memorial complex after Master Roberoy would be constructed at Ningthoukhong.
Representatives of AMUCO, HERICOUN, UPF, NIPCO, UCOBID and Meira Paibis' bodies and local clubs of Ningthoukhong areas were also present during the meeting.
