AR meets women CSOs, conducts medical camp

Assam Rifles conducted a meeting with representatives of Naga Women Union (NWU) and Senapati District Women Association (SDWA) on Monday at Senapati.
Presided over by Inspector General Assam Rifles (East), the meeting held with an aim to address issues related to women & youth empowerment and maintenance of peace and harmony in the area amidst ongoing conflict was attended by 16 representatives of NWU and SDWA, who expressed gratitude to Assam Rifles for organising such fruitful meeting.
Meanwhile, ahead of the celebration of "Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav" as a part of the 77th Independence Day, Assam Rifles organised medical camp for students of Eklavya Model School, Tamenglong on Sunday.
The beneficiaries were treated for common ailments and were given medicines as the battalion's senior medical officer, along with medical staff carried out basic health check-up of all the attendees.
During the camp, a total of 60 students and 25 staff members were attended to the medical team.
