Imphal, January 28:
One mini-Tata (MN-01-4541) seized together with two persons for importing 'banned' mitha mana on January 22 has been burnt today.
The vehicle was set ablaze after a detailed investigation during which direct involvement of the vehicle in mitha mana trade was established, stated a spokesperson of the RPF's Department of Communication and Publicity.
The two individuals pulled up with the truck from Sangakpham were paraded before media persons.
Speaking to reporters at a place in Thoubal district today, the spokesperson reminded of the outfit's repeated appeal through media not to transport, trade or deal in mitha mana and other banned
tobacco products.
