Imphal, June 12 2017:
At the advice of Chief Minister N Biren, Ministers of the BJP-led coalition Government have started holding extensive meetings with party workers and the public at the party office from today.
MAHUD, Town Planning, Forest & Environment and Horticulture and Soil Conservation Minister Th Shyamkumar met party workers and other people at BJP office from 2 pm to 4 pm today.
The new programme has been launched at the initiative of Chief Minister N Biren so that party workers and the public can put forward their grievances, wishes and suggestions to the Ministers directly.
The new programme envisaged that Ministers should meet party workers and other people at least for two hours once a week.
After listening to the grievances, wishes and suggestions put forward by party workers and the general public who came from different districts, Th Shyamkumar told media media persons that the consultation programme with party workers launched at the initiative of Chief Minister N Biren was a very positive step.
The programme provides the much needed opportunity to party workers who do not have time to visit Ministers and officers to express their grievances and wishes freely.
As the party always stands above Ministers, Ministers should listen to party workers and act accordingly, Shyamkumar said.
Pledging that the Government would make all efforts to translate the wishes and aspirations of party workers and the general public to reality as far as possible, Shyamkumar stated that many party workers can see the lapses and fallacies of the Government and their suggestions are needed.
These consultation programme would go a long way in fostering speedy development across the hills and valley of the State.
There are many people who have been amassing personal wealth in the name of farmers.
The Government would take up necessary steps so that grants/loans and agricultural inputs reach farmers directly, Shyamkumar added.
