Joint meet recommends earlier admission rate

A joint meeting of AMSU and All Manipur Recognised Private School Welfare Association has recommended all private schools of the State to levy admission fee and tuition fee at the rates fixed earlier, with effect from the academic session 2012. Speaking to media persons this afternoon, AMSU secretary general Dipaljit and advisor of the Private School Association Doren said that uniform fees and tuition fees were fixed in a joint meeting of Principals, founders and guardians held on January 29.As per the recommendations adopted at the meeting, admission fees from pre-Nursery to KG should be Rs 1000 and monthly tuition fees Rs 250. The rates of admission fee and tuition fee for class I and class V should be Rs 1500 and Rs 300 respectively.
For class VI to X, admission fee should be Rs 2000 and tuition fee Rs 350 respectively.
As some of the private schools were not satisfied with the rates of admission fee and tuition fixed on January 29, another meeting was held today between AMSU and the Association on the same matter.
After discussing the matter threadbare, the meeting resolved that all private schools should levy admission and tuition fees as fixed on January 29. In case, if school authorities have already collected admission fees exceeding the rate fixed by the joint meeting, the extra amount should be either reimbursed to guardians or adjusted with monthly fees, Dipaljit and Doren conveyed.
School authorities should issue receipts for making adjustments and guardians should demand such receipts from school authorities.
