Two die of Covid-19 in Tengnoupal district

A woman belong to the Zou tribe, who was admitted to Sub-District Hosptial Moreh Covid Care Centre after complaining of breathlessness and taken to RIMS Hospital Imphal by an ambulance on Saturday morning, succumbed to Covid-19 shortly after reaching the Hospital.
Speaking to media, district nodal officer Covid-19 Care Centre, Tengnoupal Dr A Cecil informed that with the death of the woman and another Covid positive patient in Khamshing village, the total number of deaths due to Covid-19 in Tengnoupal district has reached two.
Ten other patients are also undergoing treatment at Covid Care Centre, Moreh, the nodal officer said.
Dr Cecil further informed that on Saturday three new positive patients including one woman from Moreh Ward No 9 Khunou Leikai near NH 102 and two women from Moreh Ward No 9 Langsingkhoi Veng were confirmed positive for Covid-19 All of them have been kept at Community Quarantine Centre for treatment, Dr Cecil stated.
