Hijam Dinesh, an electrical technician from Thongjao Awang Leikai, has clarified that Ksh Suresh Singh, who worked as a junior bill clerk of Sugnu subdivision, was wrongly charged and suspended by the Managing Director, MSPDCL, as per the complaint of the Anti Corruption Cell.
Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club today, Dinesh said that he along with two other individuals, Ngongo and Manihar Singh, had been hired for installation of prepaid meter at Chairen GP Sugnu area and during their work, they found that the house of one Takhellambam Simon did not have any prepaid meter.
However, Simon's complaint was soon found uploaded on Whatsapp and to Anti Corruption Cell website claiming that Ksh Suresh had demanded six thousand rupees for installing a prepaid meter at his residence.
Simon later clarified in a written statement that Suresh had not asked any money for installing the pre paid meter but on May 17, the Managing Director issued an order suspending Suresh as per the complaint lodged at Anti Corruption Cell, he added.
Dinesh clarified that the complaint lodged against Suresh is false and that he never took any money for installing pre paid meter at Chairen GP Sugnu area.
