Imphal, May 21 2017:
The Kuki Chiefs' Association, Tengnoupal District has expressed profound distress while condemning the three subsequent bomb attacks in Moreh Sub Division over the last few days.
In its words the chief's body termed the attack as undiluted hatred casted upon on the people to vent on it.
In a press statement released by the information and publicity secretary, the association stated that "it is deeply concerned by these cowardly acts of violence by unidentified miscreants".
"The spirit and determination of peace loving people within the district is disturbed to create a safe district for our children and common people is far greater aim than the twisted objective of the perpetrators." The association went on to urge the responsible groups not to carry out the undesirable activities in the surrounding areas within the district in future.
Informing that it was truly grief-stricken the KCA conveyed its sincere sympathy for the injured security personnel and wished them speedy recovery.
KCA further asked the state government to book the culprits and take necessary measures to provide safety and security of the people in Tengnoupal district.
It may be recalled that the first blast occurred on May 17 at Gammon Veng Community Hall, the second on May 18 targeting the convoy of Parliamentary secretary Susindro convoy at a place between Kwatha and Khudhengthabi and the third yesterday's evening near Moreh police station.
