Oxygen kits, edibles, masks, sanitizers distributed

Imphal, May 26 2021:
Lok Sabha MP Rk Ranjan on Wednesday handed over oxygen concentrators which were donated by Sewa Canada through Seva Bharati Manipur, to the in-charges of CHICs set up in different assembly constituencies, in the presence of respective MLAs of the constituencies.
Retired Lt General Laiphrakpam Nishikanta, who is the volunteer coordinator and plays a key role in procuring the oxygen concentrators, handed over the same to minister and Thongju MLA Th Biswajit and Moirang MLA P Sarat.
Speaking on the occasion, minister Biswajit appreciated MP Ranjan and Sewa Canada for the aid.
On Wednesday, Awang Sekmai Scheduled Caste Development Committee president Khwairakpam Surjakumar and intending candidate from Khurai assembly constituency Khagek-pam Khamba also distributed edible items to households under containment zone in Awang Sekmai and Khurai AC respectively while Covid-19 Huyen Lanlong Task Force formed by members of Apun-ba Manipur Huyen Lanlong Lup (AMHLL) delivered edible items to chief instructor and instructors and families of late instructor of Huyen Lanlong at Keirao Khunou, Bamon Kampu, Kongba, Wangkhei, Khurai Konsam Leikai, Khurai Chaithibi, Khongman Okram Chuthek, Uripok, Sagolband, Kangabam Leikai, Kakching, Kumbi and Nambol.
In appreciation of Saina Institute of Medical Science (SIMS), which is providing 24-hour free ambulance service, one Pukhrambam Dhanachandra (Nanao) of Kongba Nongthombam Leikai provided rice, sanitizers, face masks and face steamer machines to SIMS.
On the other hand, Youth Development Organisation (YDO), Pallel with the support of Pallel Zilla Parishad member Md Najimuddin, Pallel GP pradhan Md Mukimuddin, Forest Beat Officer, Pallel Md Salauddin and social worker N Nabachandra Singh of Kakching distributed edibles to every household in Pallel Thongwangma and Leimang Chingjil on Wednesday.
Similarly, Khundrakpam Kendra Development Committee (KKDC) and intending candidate from Heirok AC social worker N Diten Singh distributed essential items to the people of Khundrakpam AC and Heirok AC respectively.
Meanwhile, Kakching Runners provided six oxygen cylinder regulators to Kakching Higher Secondary School Covid Care Centre (CCC) for the patients undergoing treatment at the Centre.
The oxygen regulators were handed over by a team of Kakching Runners led by its secretary Kshetrimayum Khogendro (Norain) to chief medical officer Kakching Thaodem Rajen Singh.
Kakching Runners also announced that they will provide lunch and dinner at Kakching Higher Secondary School CCC on May 27 in appreciation of the work being done by the doctors and medical staff stationed at the Centre.
