Imphal, May 27 2018:
The Students' Union of Kangleipak (SUK) has urged all the Govt and private schools following COHSEM to put the criteria "Class X pass" as an eligibility requirement for students who want to enroll in class 11 in their respective schools.
In a statement issued to the press today, SUK said that all schools should include the said criteria in the advertisements in all the local dailies.
The student body also laid down that CBSE students should be made to sit for the entrance exam only after they have shown their Class X admit card.
SUK added that this will be the final appeal to all schools and schools which do not comply with SUK's requests have to bear the consequences.
If schools do not co-operate with parents and guardians seeking admissions for their wards then SUK may be contacted, added the student body.
Furthermore, SUK also asked all schools to keep 10% reserved for students who pass in the compartmental category.
