Gold worth Rs 93 Cr seized

Imphal, May 27 2018:
Personnel of Directorate of Revenue Intelligence, Imphal Regional Unit seized 18 gold biscuits of foreign origin today from the possession of two persons identified as Jai Prakash Soni of Rajasthan and Hemant Kumar of New Delhi.
The latest gold seizure comes close on the heels of 12 gold biscuits seized by DRI on May 25 .
The estimated worth of the gold seized today is pegged at Rs 93,64,392.During the current financial year DRI, Imphal has seized more than 33 Kgs of gold of foreign origin.
