India Jr Ranking Badminton tournament : Manjit and Dingku clinch doubles title

Imphal, May 27 2018:
Manjit Khwairakpam and Dingku Konthoujam of Manipur (Ranked 2) today defeated Vishnuvardhan Goud P and Sri Krishna Sai Podile in straight sets to win the boys' doubles (Under 19) title of the Yonex Sunrise All India Junior Ranking Badminton Tournament which got underway from May 22 at Tirupur, Tamil Nadu.
Manjit and Dingku who outshone Sai Rohit B and Akash Chandran of Telengana State by 2-1 sets yesterday in a semifinal showed their upperhand with a 21-13, 21-18 win over Vishnuvardhan Goud P and Sri Krishna to lift the doubles' title.
Manipur Badminton Association (MBA) in a press release congratulated Manjit Khwairakpam and Dingku Konthoujam on winning the doubles title (U-19 boys) at the Yonex Sunrise All India Junior Ranking Badminton Tournament.
Meanwhile, general body meeting and an election for office bearers of Manipur Badminton Association was held today at Indoor Stadium of the association located at DM College Campus.
