CCcpur MSCB bank loot case reported to Amit Shah

Imphal, June 15 2023:
National Cooperative Union of India (NCUI), New Delhi's governing council member Jeena Potsangbam submitted a report to union minister of cooperation Amit Shah with regard to the robbery at Churachand-pur branch of Manipur State Cooperative Bank (MSCB) by armed miscreants in the first half of May.
Jeena brought up the matter to the knowledge of the minister during the meeting of NCUI governing council held in the board room of the union in New Delhi on Wednesday.
Jeena is the lone member of the council from northeast region.
She also drew attention of the home minister to control the vio lence in Manipur and restore peace at the earliest.
She also urged the minister to provide more grant-in-aids to support cooperative movement across the country by promoting NCUI projects apart from pointing out that NCUI projects are crucial in bringing socio-economic development in the northeast region.
At the same time, Jeena also'submitted'a report on the damage to infrastructure of multipurpose cooperative societies and primary
agricultural credit society due to the ongoing crisis in the state.
Informing that over 10 houses promoted by NCUI education project at Phayeng and Khurkhul villages have been burned and the family members taking refuge in relief centres, she drew attention of Amit Shah to provide special package forreviving Manipur State Cooperative Bank, Primary Agricultural Credit Societies and Self Help groups.
