AR organises free medical camps

Singhat Battalion Assam Rifles under the aegis of Churachandpur Sector organized a day long medical camp at the remote border village of Hingtham Khunou.
The camp witnessed around 250 villagers from Hingtham Khunou and nearby villages under ARCAP.
The camp was a big relief to the villagers in the testing times of COVID 19 pandemic and was witnessed by about 250 villagers who were also informed regarding the importance of vaccination and the emerging risk of new variants of COVID 19, said a statement issued by PRO Assam Rifles.
In another project, sports items including football and Volleyball kits were also distributed among the youth clubs of these villages and solar lanterns were distributed among the villagers of Theigothang and Z Khunou villages who do not have electricity in their villages, added the statement.
The project helped in bringing medical facilities at the doorstep of the villagers and has helped more than 250 plus villagers of the area and it also motivated the youth to have a leaning towards sports and will also help the villagers of Z Khunou and.
Theigothang with alternate and cost effective source of light, added the statement.
In a similar instance, Assam Rifles troops of Keithelmanbi Battalion under the aegis of IGAR (South) conducted a Medical Camp at Lilong, yesterday.
As part of the camp an interactive session was conducted to educate villagers about the importance of a healthy lifestyle and various seasonal diseases and it was followed by a health check up where 26 adults were inspected and distribution of medicines, added the statement.
