Bobby Murder Case: JAC threatens indefinite strike

The joint action committee (JAC) fighting for justice in the killing of Hidam Bobby on Friday threatened to call an indefinite State wide general strike if the Government and its Police Department are unable to arrest the culprits within five days.
Decrying the killing, a sit-in protest was staged at Langdum Lamkhai Sorok Karong in Imphal East district today.
A resident of Langdum Awang Leikai, Bobby was found dead near Thoubal district's Yairipok Singa Canal that borders Tamenglong district on July 1 last.
Today's protest demonstration was organised jointly by the JAC against the brutal killing of Hidam Bobby Meetei, Kangdum Samaj Sudardan Youth Club, Youth Brighter Club, United Youth Organisation, Langdumg and Women's Welfare Association, Langdum.
Convenor of the JAC, T Bishwajit said, "We condemn the murder of Bobby" .
But the police are ignoring the case, he alleged, warned of imposing an indefinite Manipur bandh if the Government and its Police Department are unable to arrest the culprits involved in the murder within five days.
