Extreme sports events participated by bikers from Southeast Asian countries like Indonesia and Thailand has become the one of the major crowd puller of the ongoing 10 day Manipur Tourism Festival which enters fourth day today in Imphal.
Such BMX cycle show was introduced for the first time in India with a dazzling display of skill, dexterity, courage and sportsmanship since the last two days at the specially crafted BMX mini adventure sports complex at the Tourism Festival venue here.The BMX cycle show will continue till December 17 .
With the opening of the show since yesterday afternoon,many bike lovers mostly youngsters of the region thronged the mini adventure complex within the festival site to watch the show till the dusk.
"Unexpectedly more visitors came since yesterday when we introduced the show," Dr L Surjit,President of Manipur Mountaineering and Trekking Association,MMTA said.
Vice-President of the Asian Extreme Sports Federation Mr Charlie is also here accompanying the south asian countries bikers.
On the second day of the show today,more visitors including the lady GOC of 57 Mountain division Mrs Hooda and their daughter had come and watched the cycle show cum simultaneous rock show by Cleave at the same venue.

Manipur Tourism Festival, 2009, which has been officially re-christened as Sangai Festival, kicked off since December 10 last under the aegis of Manipur Tourism Department with the main objective of show-casing the arts and culture, crafts, indigenous sports and tourist spots of the State.
Besides 300 stalls including 17 Thailand stalls from outside Manipur are also another attraction of the visitors.
Cultural programmes such as dances of various ethnic communities, traditional folk theatre and martial arts shows are being organized on a daily basis at the main venue of the festival site Hapta Kangjeibung, where an exhibition mela showcasing the traditional handloom, handicrafts, food and other items is also underway.
Other main events being held during the festival include obstacle adventure at Lamdan Adventure and Leadership Park in Bishnupur district organized by the MMTA, parasailing at Koirengei airfield near Imphal, trekking at Mt.
Iso in Senapati district, the highest mountain peak in Manipur.
On December 12 a trip to Dzuko valley was flagged off while two separate expedition teams headed for Shiroi Hills and Kangkhui caves in Ukhrul distrct and Tamenglong district to explore its Tharon caves,Zeliad lake and Barak waterfalls etc on December 14 morning.
