Intrusion of outsiders still continues despite the ongoing protest for ILP : Kh Ratan

A one-day discussion on "Demographic Imbalance & Survival of Indigenous Manipuri People" was held at the office of the Jiri Ima Meira Paibi Apunba Lup (JIMPAL), Jiribam today.
Organised by Jiri Development Organisation (JDO) Jiribam, the public discussion was attended by President of JDO Jiribam Mutum Hemanta Mangang, Gen Secy of Senior Citizen Society Jiribam S Maniton Singh, Senior Journalist Bijoy Kakchingtabam, President of All Manipur Tami Chingmi Apunba Nupi Lup Ema Momon and President of All Manipur Muslim Development Organisation & Vice President AMKIL A Sitara Begum as presidium members.
Joy Chingakham, Former Co-convenor JCILPs, Manipur and Kh Ratan Singh, Co-Convenor of JCILPS, Manipur delivered lectures on different topics as resource persons.
In his speech, Joy Chingakham said that the only available option for saving our indigenous people under the law of India is the implementation of Inner Line Permit system.
It is high time for the people of Manipur to revive the work culture to bring about non-dependence on others.
Kh Ratan Singh, Co-Convenor, JCILPS Manipur informed the gathering that amidst the ongoing agitations, intrusion of outsiders through Jiribam, Dimapur and Churachandpur still continues without any obstruction at the check posts.
When a Manipuri wants to go to Moreh, he must possess an ID card.
However, there has been no obstruction in entry of non-locals, he asserted.
