Imphal, May 09 2012:
Coming hard on state government and Chief Minister O Ibobi, the proscribed revolutionary organisation People's Revolutionary Front (RPF) in a statement slammed that the state government and its head are running like hell to please the Centre in return of some merciful schemes.
By assuring better power situation to the people of the state, Chief Minister O Ibobi has again bowed to the Centre as he begged the Union Power Minister Sunil Kumar Shinde for some certain schemes or plans to provide more power to the state, the statement issued and signed by publicity secretary of the proscribed outfit T Leisemba alleged.
On the other hand, the Union Minister after hearing Ibobi's plea told him that he will see if he could do something in this regard, the statement of RPF said, and asserted that it is wrong policy of the state government under the colonial policy of the India that has resulted in the current situation of the state.
As many as 80,000 paris of agricultural land have been lost while establishing the Loktak Hydro-Electric Project in addition to creating artificial floods and droughts at the same time.
Floating huts of more than 950 fishermen in Loktak Lake have been burnt in the name of saving Loktak Lake without even thinking of their future and settlement, the outfit alleged.
It further stated that Ibobi has once again pleased the Centre by giving nod to establishment of NCTC saying that underground organisations in the state have resorted to extortion, kidnapping and hampering development works and normal peaceful life in the state.
But the truth is that chaos and crimes in the state today are the yields of the seeds sown by the India government some 63 years ago.
However, they should keep in their mind that they could not subdue or root out the ongoing revolutionary movement by establishing such institutions and implementing various laws and Acts, the statement added.
