Neighbourhood youth parliament organised

Nehru Yuva Kendra, Imphal West organised district level neighbourhood youth parliament at Kuranganayini hall, DC Imphal West Office complex, Lamphelpat, here, on Friday.
ADM Imphal West Dr Ningthoujam Johnson, NYK Imphal deputy director L Marjitkumar and APS T Sanajaoba attended the parliament as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Johnson explained that awards are recognition of actions of the winner and they should feel enthusiastic for such honour.
Participation in community activities is also a must in order to develop one's personality, he said.
As India has a large portion of young citizens in the age group of 24 to 60 years, the country has huge potential to rise in the global stage.
NYK is playing an important role in developing youth and instilling leadership quality among them, he maintained and encouraged the youth to prepare themselves for the changing world scenario and equip themselves with skill sets, which would become relevant in future.
District outstanding youth club awards were presented to Youth Development Club, Yurembam Awang Leikai (for the year 2020-21); Social Development Club, Samurou (2021-22); arid Western Sporting Club, Ngairangbam (2022-23)
on the occasion.
