Yuva Morcha of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will submit an ultimatum to the Government of India over the alleged homicide of Richard Loitam after a joint meeting of all Yuva Morchas at Delhi on May 12 .
Disclosing this in a press meet today at BJP office here today, President of BJP, Manipur Shantikumar Sharma informed that representatives from Manipur have already left Imphal for New Delhi to attend the meeting of Yuva Morchas of the different states of India to discuss issues related to suspicious death of Richard Loitam, a student of Architecture studying in Bangalore on May 12 .
Shantikumar said that BJP Manipur Pradesh had informed "Sampark" (a help centre for North East people) cell soon after BJP heard about the suspicious death of Richard Loitam, and without losing any time the Sampark cell met the Chief Minister of Karnataka as well as the Home Minister of India and demanded a white paper over the suspicious death of the student from Manipur.
Saying that BJP has been highlighting the issues of Manipur in the Parliament, Shantikumar observed that the case of Richard Loitam has been taken very seriously by the party in the state and centre and the BJP National President Nitin Gadkare would be visiting Guwahati on May 11 where the BJP Manipur representatives would meet and apprise him about the case of death of Richard Loitam in Bangalore in detail.
The Sampark cell at Mumbai led by its Vice President Ponam Mahajan staged a sit-in protest in Mumbai on Tuesday, informed President of BJP Manipur Pradesh, and informed that All India Yuva Morcha BJP would be meeting on May 12 at New Delhi.
After the meeting an ultimatum would be submitted to the Government of India to bring out a white paper on the truth about the death of Richard Loitam within one week.
Various forms of agitations would also be launched across the country by BJP Yuva Morcha if the Government fails to solve the issue over mysterious and suspicious death of the student from Manipur, said Shantikumar warned.
BJP would do its best to bring out the truth regarding the death of Richard Loitam and would meet the Prime Minister and the Home Minister at the earliest possible to demand for a CBI investigation into the case, if needed, Shantikumar assured.
