Decrying that a regular Board of Directors for Imphal Urban Cooperative Bank (IUCB) Limited, Imphal has not been elected till date, Imphal Urban Cooperative Bank (IUCB) Limited's High Power Committee has urged the Administrator of IUCB Limited to facilitate election of the Board of Directors by shareholders at the earliest.
Addressing a press meet held today at Khuyathong, Imphal, High Power Committee, IUCB, Imphal secretary Kh Lebanon asserted the High Court of Manipur issued an order in the past to let the Administrator of IUCB Limited hold an election for electing regular Board of Directors, so that shareholders of the bank can elect a regular Board of Directors of their own choice.
He further lamented that the Administrator of IUCB is been literally sleeping over the matter of holding election in till today, notwithstanding the High Court's directive.
Expressing suspicion that the Administrator is influenced by some individuals not to hold election for electing the regular Board of Directors, the secretary warned that the High Power Committee will launch protest agitation with the help of CSOs, local clubs and womenfolk in the State to find out the truth as well as to hold the election.
Stating that the High Power Committee will not further indulge in the act of making charges and counter charges through media in connection with the matter, he alleged that IUCB Limited has been degenerating owing to the absence of regular Board of Directors.
